Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) is both a scientific and a service department, and functions under the Cabinet Secretariat (Aviation Division). It is responsible for providing meteorological service throughout Pakistan to wide variety of interest and for numerous public activities and projects which require weather information. National Agromet Centre (NAMC) is an important division of PMD which has been setup to relate meteorological services to the most important agriculture sector of the country so as to promote the overall status of farming community. NAMC has thus been extending its services since its establishment.

موسم کی مناسبت سے لائنوں میں کاشتہ فصل میں پہلی آبپاشی بجائی کے 30 سے 35 دن بعد جبکہ پٹریوں پر کاشتہ فصل میں دوسرا ، تیسرا ، چوتھا پانی 6 سے 9 دن بعد لگا ئیں ۔فاسفورسی کھادیں بجائی کی بجائے چھدرائی کے فوراً بعد (20 سے 25 دن بعد )استعمال کریں۔ اگیتی کاشتہ کپاس میں گوڈی اور رجر کی مدد سے جڑی بوٹیاٰں کنٹرول کریں۔
آم
حسبِ ضرورت آبپاشی جاری رکھیں ۔ آم کے پودوں کو گرمی سے بچائیں اس سلسلے میں مئی سے جولائی کے دوران جڑی بوٹیوں کی تلفی نہ کریں ۔ چھوٹے پودوں کو گرمی سے بچانے کے لئے باغ میں جنتر لگائیں اور جب جنتر 4 سے 5 فٹ کا ہو جائے تو اس کو اوپر سے کاٹ دیں۔ آم کی پھل کی مکھی کے کنٹرول کے لئے پودے کے نیچے گرے ہوئے پھل ہر دوسرے دن اٹھائیں اور باغ سے باہر دھوپ والی جگہ پر بکھیر دیں یا گرے ہوئے پھل کوگڑھا بنا کے زمین میں دفن کر دیں۔ جب تک پھل باغ میں موجود ہے صفائی کا خاص خیال رکھیں۔ نرمکھی کے تدارک کے لیئے میتھائیل یوجینال کےپھندوں کا استعمال کریں۔ایک ایکڑ میں کم از کم 4 سے 6 جنسی پھندے لگائیں۔ اور یہ پھندے ہر دسویں دن تبدیل کریں۔ آم کے سکیل کے حملہ کی مانیٹرنگ کے لئےسایہ دار جگہ پر پھل کا بغور جائزہ لیتے رہیں ۔ آم کے تیلے اور تھرپس کے تدارک کے لئے محکمہ زراعت کے عملہ کی مشاورت سے سپرے کریں ۔بیمار اور کمزور پودوں کی صحت کی بحالی کے لئے پودوں کی چھتری کے نیچے تنے سے 10 فٹ کے فاصلے پر کھالی (ٹریینچ )بنائیں ۔بڑے باغ میں نئے/چھوٹے پودوں میں حفظانی تہہ ( ملچ) کے استعمال کو یقینی بنائیں۔ باغ میں زمینی لیول کو بہتر بنائیں۔

کماد کی آبپاشی کا وقفہ موسم کی مناسبت سے 10 سے 12 دن رکھیں ۔ کماد میں تنے کے گرد مٹی چڑھانے سے پہلے گوڈی مکمل کریں ۔ کماد کی ایسی فصل جو 90 سے 100 دن کی ہو چکی ہے وہاں نائٹروجنی کھاد کی آخری قسط مٹی چڑھاتے وقت ڈالیں۔ کماد کے گڑوووں کے انسداد کے لئےمحکمہ زراعت کی سفارشات پر عمل کریں۔
